So why does Madonna love her gloves?

Londonn: Madonna caused a stir this week when she teamed bizarre red gloves with her elegant evening dress for the premiere of her new film W.E in London.

Admittedly the event came in the middle of the chilly British winter. But with her bare shoulders and arms on view, the leather garments made an eye-catching sight.

According to the Sun.co.uk, the outing wasn't the first time the 53-year-old singer has accessorised her outfits this way. In fact in recent years there's rarely been a time when we have been able to glance at the back of the star's hands.

Even on stage she opts to cover-up in a selection of different designs, including lace, leather and wool.

Unsightly wrinkles and veins could be the reason. On the occasional time Madge's hands have been snapped in public, they look vastly older than rest of her immaculately toned body.

The singer's strenuous health and fitness regime has been able to delay the tests of time on the star's overall appearance. But with the exception of moisturiser there sadly isn't much you can do about aging hands.

The skin gets thinner with age and the constant exposure to the elements only increases the wear and tear. Aging also causes the fat under the skin to disappear, leaving the bones and blood structures more visible.

Such an intense exercise programme won't help matters for Madge either. Veins on the hands and arms become much more pronounced due to the increased blood flow.

With a bulging bank balance, Madonna could look to remedy the situation with de-aging treatments such as fillers, peels and lasers.

However it seems the star is happy enough sticking with her trendy glove solution.
