LA: In yet another one of Anne Hathaway's crafty attention-getting stunts, the recently engaged "The Dark Knight Rises" actress spoon-fed Internet prowlers the search term for a wardrobe malfunction that caught Hathaway's exposed nipples on camera.
In a pseudo-interview with The Sun earlier this week, Hathaway volunteered her memory of an embarrassing incident that most people had already forgotten about: In 2004, she (unknowingly) wore a see-through dress to the "School of Rock" premiere - without a bra.
"You need to hold on to that sense of humour," she is quoted as confessing to The Sun. "I have been in so many embarrassing situations over the years. I remember going to the School Of Rock premiere and wore a dress I didn't realise was see-through. I wasn't wearing a bra.
"It was horrible. I cried my eyes out when I saw the pictures. Unfortunately, because of the internet those pictures have never gone away."
(Actually, Anne - they kind of did go away, until you brought it up again.)
Naturally, we immediately Googled "Anne Hathway School of Rock" and what do you know?! That dress really was see-through.
The interview has made headlines for another comment Hathaway made: She compared herself to Lindsay Lohan, claiming the two actresses are more alike than meets the eye -- and not just because we've now seen all four of their collective nipples.
"Lindsay Lohan and I have more in common than people think. We've all done things we shouldn't," Hathaway said. "It is just that I did stuff at college when nobody knew about it, so I'm not a saint. I wasted time doing self-destructive things.
"I found out you can only dance on so many table tops. I got all that out of my system and I am healthy and grounded."
The missive is framed as a reflection on important lessons Hathaway learned from her mother.
"My mother, Kate McCauley, taught me to be always understanding of other people - and to have a sense of humour about yourself," Hathaway said.
Her mother also taught her not to sit in judgment of others, wear SPF 30 sunscreen every day, and not worry about her weight.
"I know when people refer to me as a 'regular' girl, that it is a code word for 'fat' in Hollywood," Hathaway said. "It is completely understandable, as a teenager, to fret about your body. It is scary, because you don't know how it is going to end up.
"But I am not a teenager anymore and my body has chosen its shape. I would rather be strong than skinny for most roles."
This is not the first time that Hathaway - who appears to know a thing or two about SEO - has aligned herself with another celebrity who was in the headlines at the time. In August 2011, when "Jersey Shore" was heating up the airwaves, Hathaway made the eyebrow-raising claim that she closely identified with Snooki - the pint-sized, hard-drinking trainwreck who is the reality show's breakout star.
"I like to watch MTV for escapist pleasure, but when I saw Snooki, I saw my twin,' Hathaway told Interview magazine.
"I couldn't lose myself in the show anymore because there I was... That being said, I think JWoww is amazing. I love JWoww. She's intense. See, JWoww to me is proper Jersey because she will scrap for a friend."
Hathaway was born in Brooklyn - close enough?
At the time of the Snooki reference, the actress was promoting the tragic romance "One Day."
Hathaway plays Catwoman in the upcoming Batman installment, "The Dark Knight Rises," which opens in July. In November 2011, she became engaged to boyfriend Adam Shulman.
