Hawaii: They married in Hawaii yesterday, so Bobby Brown and Alicia Etheredge were already in prime position to get started on the honeymoon. So today the 43-year-old former husband of the late Whitney Houston got down to the important business of enjoying his first holiday with the woman he now calls his wife.
And the New Edition singer didn't seem like he wanted to let Alicia, who looked stunning in a patterned bikini, out of his sight. The R&B star and his bride spent the afternoon near the sea on Oahu, Hawaii, with family and friends surrounding them.
According to the Daily Mail report, Bobby also stripped down in the heat, but didn't look quite so fabulous as his shapely bride as he exposed his large paunch to the sunshine. Brown and Etheridge, who got engaged back in 2010 after he proposed at a New Edition gig in Jacksonville, Florida, said 'I do' on Monday in an intimate ceremony.
It was a bittersweet day for singer Brown as daughter Bobbi-Kristina Brown, 19, snubbed the event which came months after her mother's February death.
Brown married Etheredge, who is also his manager, in front of family and close friends less than 24 hours after he performed at a New Edition concert in Honolulu.
The pair's three-year-old son Cassius acted as a ring bearer and he and his dad wore matching red suits and Adidas trainers.
Bobby's older children Landon, 23, La'Princia, 22, and Bobby Jr., 19, were all in attendance but 19-year-old Bobbi was a no show.Brown and Etheredge became engaged three years after Brown's acrimonious divorce from I Will Always Love You singer Houston.
He has five children in total, one with Houston, three from previous relationships, and a son with Etheredge.Brown and Houston were married for 15 years, during which Houston developed a heavy addiction to cocaine, marijuana and crack.
In an April TV interview, Brown hit back at suggestions that he got Houston hooked on drugs, or that he somehow played a role in her death.
The singer - who has overcome serious addiction - has previously credited Alicia with helping rediscover his zest for life and for helping to keep him sober and clean.
He said: 'I got my passion back for music and for loving myself because of her ... At times when it gets really hard, she's right there, you know, to hold me and tell me, "Look at where you came from and look at where you are right now." I'm just so grateful to her.'
