LA: She shocked when she was spotted running on the sand in Ibiza earlier this year, sporting a much larger waistline as she unveiled all in a bikini. But the images shocked Josie Gibson most of all, causing her to take action and drop the pounds.
According to the Daily Mail report, the Big Brother winner has now lost a stone and a half and a dress size after admitting that she had become 'a beast'. When Josie, 27, saw pictures of herself in a bright pink bikini from her holiday in May she stormed into action as she now wants to look 'hot' for the beach later this year.
She told this week's issue of Closer magazine: 'I’d gone out there to look at houses as I was thinking of investing in some property. The last thing I expected was to get photographed and, as far as I’m concerned, I look like a total beast.
'I was in denial about how big I’d got, but those pictures really brought it home. I couldn’t believe it when I weighed myself and realised I was 14st and a size 16.'
Gibson has since dropped down to 13 stone and a size 14.And she's gaining her body confidence back so much she posed in just her underwear for the magazine.
Josie, who is engaged to 24-year-old boyfriend Luke Sanwo after proposing to him on Leap Year in February, smiles at the camera as she wears heels and a brown two-piece, which looks a far cry from the pictures of her last month.
She has blamed breaking her ankle on the weight gain as she ended up snacking a lot on takeaways. But in a bid to overhaul her lifestyle and health, she hired a personal trainer and started to cut down on her calorie intake.
And now she's working towards losing another two stone to reach her ideal weight of 10 stone with a size 10 dress size. Gibson added to Closer: 'I have a picture in my head of how I’m going to look when I’m slimmer. I’m planning a trip abroad in August and I want to look hot on the beach.
'The aim is to be a size 10 by next summer and hit the music festivals in cowboy boots and hot pants with a fringed bra top. I have the outfit, I just need to lose the weight!'
