LA: A movie remake usually aspires to provide a fresh take on a classic story. However sometimes there are elements in the original so beloved by fans that it would be cruel to deprive them of another chance to enjoy them.
According to the Daily Mail report, the new trailer for Len Wiseman's remake of the 1990 classic Total Recall shows Colin Farrell's Douglas Quaid encounter a particularly well-endowed female stranger
As he wanders down a street, a beautiful young woman- played by actress Kaitlyn Leeb - approaches him and says: 'You seem like you're looking for something.'
Removing her red plastic jacket, she asks 'Is it this?'.She then smiles: You're gonna wish you had three hands.'Recovering his composure, a grinning Colin replies: 'I'm looking for Rekall.'
While fans of the original will remember the infamous 'three-breasted woman' character, her appearance may come as a surprise to younger audiences.
Though Wiseman clearly hoped to put his own stamp on the story, he concedes that certain elements from the 1990 film deserve a reappearance.
'There are different versions of the three-breasted woman,' he said. 'You can't make 'Total Recall' without certain things.'
To further titillate fans, Wiseman added that he deliberately shot several versions of the three-breasted woman.
The film will be released in cinemas as a PG13, but the director hopes to ensure that whatever censors remove ends up on the DVD version.
Total Recall tells the story of Douglas Quaid, played by Farrell, a factory worker whose dreams of heading to Mars lead him to pay a trip to Rekall, the company who turn your dreams into memories.
As he prepares to undergo the treatment, Colin is asked 'You wanna be a crime fighter, a world-class athlete, or a secret agent?'
Quaid opts for a trip to the planet and decides to be a secret agent on the journey - but while he is being sedated the Rekall workers discover his memory has already been wiped.
Returning home after the botched dream-to-memory procedure things turn upside down for Douglas - who ends up killing a co-worker and discovers Beckinsale, isn't actually his wife.
He then finds himself on the run from police and recruits help in the form of Jessica Biel to battle those in power. The line between fantasy and reality becomes blurred as Quaid learns about his true life.
