According to the Sun.co.uk report,the Piece Of Me singer ditched her usual blonde appearance in the promo for Fantasy Twist, the latest release from her perfume range.
The star's new product bundles together her best-selling scents, Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy.
And while the superstar goes for the grungy look for the Midnight Fantasy section of the ad, she also dons a Cleopatra-inspired outfit for the Fantasy section.
Britney, 30, also took the opportunity to show off her impressive muscle tone, flashing a well-buffed bicep as she posed for one snap. But the star was back on familiar territory last night, appearing at last night's City Of Hope Gala Awards in Los Angeles as a beaming blonde again.
Dazzling in an elegant white Halston frock, the singer looked gorgeous with gentle curls in her long tresses.
And she and fiancé Jason Trawick made a lovely couple as they posed for photographers on their way into the bash, which raises money for research into cancer, Aids, and other life-threatening diseases.
