LV: Flavor Flav was arrested early Wednesday morning in Las Vegas on suspicion of assaulting his fiancée and her underage son, reports the Associated Press. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department tells Las Vegas' KTNV Channel 13 Action News that a call was received around 3:30 a.m. from a woman who reported that her fiancé was threatening a 17-year-old teenager. She added that her partner had assaulted her as well.
After arriving on the scene, officers were told that Flav, whose legal name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr., had threatened the teenager with a knife. Flav was arrested and booked on two charges, felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence (battery).
He is currently being held on $23,000 bail.
In an interview with RumorFix on Wednesday afternoon, Flav's fiancée, Liz Trujillo, claims the fight was over allegations that Flav had been cheating on her. "He's been cheating on me for months. I saw a text on his phone from a woman saying she 'had a great time' with him, and he was going to meet her in Vegas. [When I saw the text] I threw his phone and the screen cracked," Trujillo told the site, adding that the tossed phone caused him to wake up. "He woke up and called me a f---ing bitch. He was throwing me around, tossing me around. And I was bleeding and bruised all over. He pulled my earrings out. I'm damaged, I'm in complete pain, I can't move."
Flav rose to fame as part of the rap group Public Enemy, but he is perhaps best known for his work on a string of reality TV shows, including "The Surreal Life," "Strange Love" and "Flavor of Love."
