Minister Kodikunnil Suresh inaugurates NBCC Constructed ESIC Hospital in Tirunelveli

Chennai: Mr Kodikunnil Suresh, Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment, inaugurating NBCC constructed 100 bedded ESIC Hospital at Tirunelveli (Tamil Nadu).

Inaugurating the hospital, Kodikunnil Suresh, Minister of State for Labour & Employment, assured the Tamil Nadu Government that the Centre would provide all support to it in implementing the Employees State Insurance Scheme.

The hospital will provide quality healthcare facilities to 1.44 lakh insured persons and 5.5 lakh beneficiaries in the Southern part of Tamil Nadu, particularly Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari districts.

At present, the OPD (out patient department) will provide medical services for surgery, pediatrics, general medicine, orthopaedics, among other things. For critical care, it will refer the patients to tie-up hospitals for “cashless super speciality treatment”. The hospital has been constructed at an approximate cost of Rs 55 crore.

At the inauguration ceremony  S/Shri KT Pachamal, Minister for Labour Welfare, Govt. of Tamil Nadu and SD Sharma, Sr General Manager, SBG (South), amongst local MPs, Mayor and MLAs also present.
