Being refused, youths throw acid on girls

Jaipur: Upset over denial to marriage proposal, two youths riding on a motorcycle, threw acid on two college girls in Vidhyadhar nagar late last evening causing serious burn injuries to the duo.

According to police, the girls, studying in B Com first year and B Com second year, were returning back home after attending coaching classes when the accused intercepted them on mobike, threw acid and sped away.

The victims with burn injuries on face, were rushed to a nearby hospital from where they were referred to the SMS Hospital, the police said.

The culprits were arrested later in the night, police sources added.
