New Delhi: It looks like Motorola is all set to introduce Moto Maxx, its high-end smartphone in the Indian market. Flipkart, which is Motorola's exclusive retail partner, has started teasing the phone via its social network accounts.
Although, Flipkart has not named the phone in the teasers, it mentions the terms 'turbocharged,' 'accelerated performance,' and 'nylon fairing' hinting at the launch of Moto Maxx.
Moto Maxx features ballistic nylon, a durable material with a distinctive texture and rich colour (used in outdoor gear, like backpacks). The phone has a layer of DuPont Kevlar fiber, a material that is five times stronger than steel, under the nylon.
Moto Maxx is protected with water-repellent nano-coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Initially launched as Droid Turbo on US carrier Verizon Wireless, the Motorola Maxx (international variant of the phone), sports a 5.2-inch QHD (1440x2560p) AMOLED display. Powered by a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor and Adreno 420 GPU, the phone has 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
One of the highlights of the phone is its big capacity 3900mAh battery and turbo-charging feature that provides up to eight hours of power in 15 minutes of charging.
It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is expected to be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Motorola Maxx sports a 21MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera.
In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and 4G.
