International Online Omkar Nath Thakur Music Festival Held

New Delhi: Renowned Cultural Institution Swara Samarpan recently hosted International Pandit Omkar Nath Thakur Music Festival – 2021 on virtual platform. Representatives of Odia Samaj in different countries, Prominent Non Resident Odias, Members of World Odisha Society and Music Lovers from across the Globe attended this online musical extravaganza. Delivering his welcome speech the main organiser of the Mega Event and Founder of Swara Samarpan Acharya Abhimanyu expressed his gratitude to the patrons for their help and co –operation in carrying out the promotion of classical art inspite of the devastation created by Covid Pandemic and expected the same kind of sympathy and support in future also. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest senior Journalist and Chairman of World Odisha Society Kishore Dwibedi lauded the role of Swara Samarpan and Guru Acharya Abhimanyu in promoting, propagating and popularising Odishan Art, Culture, Tradition, literature and ethos in National and International arena. Distinguished Guests Sanjay Srivastava, Dr. Chandramani Brahmdutt, Reeta Patra, Sishir Dubey and Rajpal Johar eulogised the spectacular contributions of Acharya Abhimanyu in keeping intact the classicism and purity of our music in its original form. Child prodigy Sidhant Dubey and upcoming musical wizard Swapna Rani were conferred Year 2021’s Tejaswi Award during the occasion. President of Indraprastha Literature Festival, Dr Chandramani Brahmdutt, was presented Swar Samajasebi Award for his immense contribution in the field of Social Service.
The audiences were completely spellbound by the scintillating and soul soothing musical numbers rendered by Acharya Abhimanyu from New Delhi, Singh Bandhu fame Padmashree Pandit Surinder Singh from Mumbai, Karunakar Nayak from Bhubaneswar, Mukesh Kakker from London, Swapna Rani and Laxmipriya Pradhan from New Delhi and Neha Dubey from Noida. The special attraction of the evening was the mesmerising presentation of ‘Ganesh Bandana’ by Acharya Abhimanyu’s Two disciples wonder kid brothers Sidhant and Bivan Dubey from Noida. Krushna Chandra Das, Subodh Narayan Padhi, Prakash Salaskar and Bijay Kumar Dash supported the singers in musical instruments. Ace Anchor of AIR and Doordarshan Pratima Sharma, conducted and coordinated the entire programme in a smooth and seamless manner.
The Live Streaming of the Digital Jamboori was carried out from the premises of Omkar Divine Place at Noida. Distinguished dignitaries present include Dr. Sitansu Sekhar Nanda from South Korea, Reecha Gupta from Tanzania, Sukhnandan Bindra, Krushna satpathy Harihar Rath and Anindita Das from India.
