Rajasthan Diwas, March 30, marks the unification of the 22 princely states in the region of the State of Rajasthan. The vice president of Rajasthan Foundation Mr Rajiv Arora talked to
facenfacts about the NRI’s contribution to the state, “Rajasthan Diwas, a dream child of Mr Ashok Gehlot is being celebrated every year since its formation, with an aim to showcase Rajasthan’s culture and heritage and revive traditional sports, education and health, cuisines and folk-art.
The objectives of Rajasthan foundation is to involve all those Industrialists NRIs (Non Resident Rajasthani's) who are related to the soul and the soil of the state. There are millions of Rajasthanis, though living in New York, London and other places of the world, but their roots are deeply connected with the small districts of state.”
To interact with them regularly and to provide a forum and to facilitate a process of continuous communication, from all over India and different parts of the world, the forum works for strengthening and renewing their bonds with the State and to facilitate their participation in the States development, honoring their desire to contribute to their homeland.
To strengthen and renew the bonds between Non- resident Rajasthanis and the State of Rajasthan for overall socio-economic development of the State Mr Rajiv Arora said, 'Actually we are trying to solidify the dream like desire of the chief minister Ashok Gehlot and to inspire the Non Resident Rajasthanis to participation in the development and welfare of its people. We welcome all their assistance not only to industrial but to all the social sectors including education, health, sports and to any other section they like.'
He further appealed to all the NRRs 'to invest in Rajasthan a single window system has been regulated to provide smooth and quickest possible government services for their projects. To encourage the young NRR entrepreneurs we are inviting them to visit Rajasthan on free of cost trip to get more information about the state. By providing such facilities under the guidance of government, Rajasthan Foundation has been organizing many such successful events like 'Rajasthan Calling' at Coimbatore and 'Pushker Mela' at Chennai and the 'Rajasthani International Convention' at New York. These are few such events that have emerged as effective interactive platforms for the non-resident community.
