Padma Awards given to Sridevi, Sharmila Tagore

New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee gave away the first batch of Padma Awards today at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi.
Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and Sridevi received their Padma Bhushan Awards and Padma Shri awards respectively.
Sridevi looked elegant in her pink and golden kanjeevaram sari as she arrived to receive her award with daughters Jhanvi and Khushi.
Telugu producer D Ramanaidu received the Padma Bhushan.
Cricketer Rahul Dravid received the Padma Bhushan award.
Theatre personality B Jayashree, boxer Dingko Singh, photographer Pablo Bartholomew and Vandana Luthra also received the Padma Shri awards.
Sculptor Raghunath Mohapatra received the Padma Vibhushan, country's second-highest civilian award.
Actor Rajesh Khanna and comedian Jaspal Bhatti will receive their Padma Bhushan awards posthumously in the second batch.
The awards were announced in January 2013.
