Bengali New Year or ‘nababorsho’ is the first day of the month of Baisakh of the Bengali year. This year it is celebrated on 15th April. The celebration of Bengali New Year remains incomplete without the special Bengali food & sweets. Keeping in mind the same the Bengali Food Festival begins at Baluchi, a pan Indian cuisine specialty restaurant known for its authentic taste of Indian delicacies.
The chefs have especially designed the menus to cater to an individual’s taste buds and give an authentic taste of Bengali food. The menu comprises of an array of typical Bengali exquisite delicacies like Beguni (Gram flour dipped Crispy fried eggplant, with sprinkle of onion seed), Echorer Kosha (A Bengal famous dish of jackfruit), Bekti Maach Bhaja (Onion and coriander marinated fried Bekti), Rui Macher Kalia (Rohu fish temperd with onion seed and cooked in mustard oil), Mishti Doi (Popular curd sweetened with jaggery), Chanar Malpua (Chenna pancake with fennel, dipped in sugar syrup) and numerous other dishes to choose from.
