Although, the flame of freedom struggle was kindled long back in 1857, yet it was attained only on 15th August, 1947.

Independence Day is celebrated with great fervor in all parts of the country. Every year on this day, the Prime Minister addresses the nation from the historical Red Fort in New Delhi. The Prime Minister unfurls the tri-colour from the terrace of the Red Fort amid the rendition of the National Anthem. The nation and its martyrs are saluted with 21 gunshots, stimulating the memory of all who laid their lives in the service of our motherland.

The day is marked by celebrations all through the country, and schools and colleges hold cultural programs, parades and other events to observe this day.Special programs are telecasted from Radio and TV channels to celebrate the spirit of nationalism. 15th August, reminds us of our duties as citizens towards our country, India and gives us the opportunity to renew our pledge to keep India first in all our endeavors.

We are here together to celebrate our 69th Indian Independence Day 2015 so the few words of my speech is devoting to them who is the real winner of our freedom. As you all are aware that we got our freedom on 15 August, 1947 after a long and hard struggle with British Rulers.

First of all as per all previous years on this 69th Independence Day also we salute our all real hero’s like Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Shaheed Bhagat
Singh and much more who won that Independence for us. We remember all for their great contribution in getting freedom because that was not possible without them.

While speaking in front of you all, I remember the first speech of our First Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru in the year August 1947 on this great day of our Independence. They sacrifice a lot for us so it is our duty to remember him always on celebrating this National Festival.

India is the democratic country now and we are proud to see the progress of India in the whole world. We are developing our good economic growth in the world’s economy that is only due to our leaders who has done a lot in making good policies as well as timely implementation of all.

Friends, we should be great full to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar also who made our constitution in which they describes our rights and duties. We should be thank full to all of them great persons who done a lot for us in getting freedom as well as guided us in maintaining the same also.

You all are aware that India is the country of Diversity and we are proud to say that we have unity in diversity. We have different states with different languages and dress up as well as religion also but it is really appreciable that we all are together and proudly says in front of world that we are Indian and celebrates together our National Festival i.e. Independence Day with great pump and show.
