New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President M Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent his greetings to fellow countrymen on the eve of birthday of Guru Nanak Devji.
In a message, the President of India has said, “On the joyous occasion of the birthday of Guru Nanak Devji, I convey greetings and good wishes to all my fellow countrymen.
Guru Nanak Devji believed that service of man is supreme. He called upon all people to lead a moral and righteous life.
May each one of us imbibe the revered Guru’s noble teachings of brotherhood, compassion and love. Let us dedicate ourselves to the service of the downtrodden.
As we celebrate Guru Nanak Devji’s birthday, let us erase suspicion and hatred from our hearts and banish all violence from thought, word and deed”.
Vice President M Hamid Ansari also has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev ji’s Birthday.
In his message, he said that the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev Ji has remained an icon of truth, compassion, and righteousness through his noble life.
He also said that Guru Nanak Dev ji’s divine teachings would forever inspire us to follow the path of righteousness and show respect for all humankind irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the people, on Guru Nanak Jayanti.
