Today is the birth anniversary of Ramakrishna Paramahansa, one of the greatest spiritual leaders produced by India. He was illiterate and yet he became the guru of one of the most cerebral monks of the world - Swami Vivekananda.
Ramakrishna Paramahansa represented the example of pure consciousness and remained free from all worldly attachments.
His adherence to non-possession was so exemplary that his hands and legs used to get bent and twisted whenever some body kept coins under the mattresses of his bed.
His life was shining instance of a man who underwent mystic experiences based on the teachings of all faiths be it Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism.
That is why he gave to the world the gospel of "Yato Math Tato Path".
Eminent historian Arnold Toynbee wrote that humanity which went through all kinds of revolutions be it American, French or Communist would never attain fulfilment unless it passed through the path shown by Ramakrishna. Deep bow to the great sage.
