Congress holds Coordination Committee meeting on seat sharing for 2024

New Delhi: The initial meeting of the coordination committee for determining seat sharing for coming 2024 elections was held which was attended by twelve member parties.
It was decided that the member parties will hold the talks and decide at the earliest. The committee decided to hold joint public meetings in different parts of the country. The first public meeting will be held at Bhopal in the first week of October on the issue of rising prices, unemployment, and corruption of BJP government.
The parties present in the meeting agreed to take up the issue of caste census. The co-ordination committee authorised the sub group of media to decide upon the names of the anchors on whose shows none of the INDIA parties will send their representatives.
Shri Abhishek Banerjee of All India Trinamool Congress could not attend.
General Secretary AICC K C Venugopal informed that the first meeting will be held in the first week of October in Bhopal.
On seat sharing Venugopal who is also Incharge Karnataka said, 'The coordination committee decided to start the process of determining seat sharing. It was decided that the member parties will hold the talks and decide at the earliest.
