On the Birth Anniversary of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati

New Delhi: On the birth anniversary of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati, the Hon'ble Prime Minister,  Narendra Modi, today released the last 05 volumes of his complete collected works, in a solemn ceremony held at the Prime Minister's residence. Published in chronological order under the title Kaala Varisayil Bharathi Padaippugal, these 23 volumes have been compiled and edited by Seeni Viswanathan. He was also present at the ceremony. Before the launch, the Hon'ble Prime Minister was briefed in detail about these volumes by Dr K. Sreenivasarao, Secretary, Sahitya Akademi. 

 

The launch ceremony was attended by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon'ble Minister of Culture and Tourism, Sri Rao Inderjit Singh, Hon'ble Minister of State for Culture and Dr. L. Murugan, Hon'ble Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Sri Arunish Chawla, Secretary, Ministry of Culture and other officials, Sri Sreenivasan, the publisher of the book. Eminent writers from different Indian languages were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister lauded the six decades of work of Seeni Viswanathan and said that his work will become a benchmark for the literary world.
