Hectic Preparations on for Pran Pratishtha Ceremony at Noida Jagannath Temple

New Delhi: Hectic preparations are on for the Grand Pran Pratishtha Mahotsava at Lord Jagannath temple in Noida.The Five Days long spectacular celebration at the premises of newly built temple at Sector–121 in Noida would be held between 29th January and 2nd February 2025. Lakhs of devotees are expected to take part in the consecration ceremony of four Deities being hosted by the Temple’s Management Committee Sri Jagannath Samiti. President of India Draupadi Murmu has been invited to become the Chief Guest during the Mahotsava on the holy day of Basant Panchami on 2nd February 2025. Gajapati Maharaja of Puri Shri Dibya Singha Deb will be the First Servitor to offer Puja to Lord Jagannath after the Pran Pratistha. Other dignitaries who are expected to take part during the auspicious occasion include Odisha’s Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, U.P. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, M.P of Gautam Bhudha Nagar Dr Mahesh Sharma, Noida MLA Pankaj Singh, Chhattisgarh MLA Purandar Mishra and host of other dignitaries.
Pran Pratishtha is a significant and sacred ritual in hindu tradition of undertaking consecration of the Deities’ idols. The schedule of the auspicious day will include performance of series of special religious rituals, cultural programmes, spiritual preachings and community gatherings culminating into the ultimate ceremony of Pran Pratishtha being conducted by the team of priests deputed by Mukti Mandap of Puri.The Mega Religious Event shall witness congregation of religious and spiritual top brasses such as Sadhus, Santhas and Mahatmas from all Devsthanas in India like Ayodhya, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Puri, Banaras etc, disclosed by General Secretary of Temple Management Committee Dr Manoranjan Mohanty, Vice-President Pramod Bhal and Joint Secretary Dhaneswar Nayak in a Press Meet.
The majestic and marvellous Jagannath temple situated at the sprawling green landscape of A–1, Sector-121 in Noida took Fifteen long years to be built. It is relatively a modern structure in comparison to original ancient Jagannath Temple at Puri in Odisha. Basing on Vastu Art, the core architecture of the temple reflects traditional Indian temple design featuring intricate and exquisite stone carvings. The Devotees will be accorded a warm welcome at the Gigantic and gorgeous Lion’s Gate or Singha Dwara of the Temple. The Sanctum Sanctorum of the Temple contains Ratna Singhasan for stationing four Deities.The earlier version of old makeshift temple was erected here with Shilanyaas in the year 2013.
Talking to Media Dr Manoranjan Mohanty further said that the Newly built Temple is expected to serve the religious and spiritual aspirations and obligations of growing population of devotees in National Capital Region. The Temple continues to remain as the nerve centre of hosting religious rituals, cultural festivals and community Get-Togethers regularly all through the year. The most important Festival among the Annual Calendar of Events of the Temple has been to organise Rath Yatra in the similar manner of Puri since the year 2013, Shri Mohanty added.
