New Delhi: A one of its kind World Travel and Tourism Festival, is being held from Feb14-16 at Dhyan Chand Stadium New Delhi. This mega Travel & Tourism festival is a B2C event to bring together industry leaders, travel enthusiasts, and innovators shaping the future of tourism. From breathtaking destinations to cutting-edge travel technology and sustainable tourism solutions, this is where the world of travel comes alive.
Why has it been named World Travel and Tourism Festival! For it aims at bringing together variety of cultures, experiences of the country, a world inclusive of every aspect of tourism. From the bustling markets of Asia, or the serene landscapes of Europe, the breathtaking beauty of Americas or the traditions of Africa, the festival offers something to everyone. The mega Festival will have a huge hanger in 45,000 sq feet. Tourism Boards will showcase their products including international and state tourism boards, airlines & aviation companies, hotels, travel & tour operators, with many opportunities with table top discussions, to happen directly with consumers, many travel tech companies will be part of it.
The highlights will be cultural and musical performances by various Tourism Boards throughout the day. On Feb 14, Valentines Day, a show with top celebs promoting tourism will be the highlight. The first day will see various segments like Travel & Auto, Travel & Food, Travel & Love exploring opportunities. The second evening will be an award ceremony for inbound & outbound tour operators. With travel talks, opportunities for participating companies, the festival aims at looking into new immersive opportunities to preview some of the tourism destinations in virtual mode.
Social Media being big, travel & tourism is very active on digital space. With YouTube, Insta, FB, Independent creators, the expo aims to bring together branded companies and SM Creators. SM will also get opportunities to collaborate with Tourism boards. 100 odd SM influencers will be at the stalls & create content to be tagged with respective brands for brand awareness.
Travel leads to employment, sustainable livelihood. There will be travel tech zone, food festival, travel competition for consumers that come in and quizs to win travel package.
Around 20-25000 visitors are expected to attend the Expo at the National Stadium.
Former President TAAI Jyoti Mayal says, ‘India is very rich in culture, cusine art craft which is not marketed well. This event tries to do that. This is first step in Delhi but going ahead, next could be Mumbai or Kolkata & then maybe Dubai or Singapore.’
