Punjabi singer-actor Guru Randhawa recently landed in the hospital after suffering injuries while performing a stunt for his upcoming film, Shaunki Sardar. The artist took to social media to share the news, posting a picture of himself in a hospital bed wearing a cervical collar.
While further details are awaited, his post has already drawn an outpouring of support from fans and celebrities alike.
Several celebrities reacted to the news with concern. Actress Mrunal Thakur exclaimed, "Whatttt." Veteran actor Anupam Kher commented, "You are the bestest. Got will soon." Meanwhile, singer Mika Singh sent his love, writing, "Get well soon."
Fans, too, flooded the comments section with heartfelt messages. One user wrote, "Get well soon. We love you!" while another expressed worry, asking, "How did you get injured so badly? Work hard but also take care of yourself."
A concerned fan advised, "Oh ho sir! Take care and get well soon. God bless you. Wishing speedy recovery." Another added, "There are people called 'stuntman' why did u did the stunt ?? Can't u use stunt double?"
Shaunki Sardar is described as a "heartfelt story of love, loyalty, and cultural pride." The film is produced under Guru Randhawa’s banner, 751 Films, and directed by Dheeraj Rattan. It marks the big-screen debut of television actress Nimrit Kaur.
In November, after completing the first schedule of the film, Nimrit Kaur shared her excitement, saying, "This film has been a dream project for me, and working with such an amazing team has been inspiring. Guru and I have had a fantastic time shooting, and I'm thrilled about the next schedule in Melbourne. It's a beautiful city, and I'm eager to bring more of this character to life in such an incredible location."
The movie is slated to hit theatres on May 16 this year.
