Vani Madhav and Nrityadhara troupe enthralled Delhi Audiences

New Delhi: The artists of premier cultural institution of National Capital Region, Nrityadhara Dance Academy had a magical and mesmerizing performance recently at Prestigious Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA). Led by the Founder of Nrityadhara noted Odissi exponent and Guru Vani Madhav, the troupe enthralled the audiences by their spectacular and spellbinding presentations. Hosted by Central Sanskrit University in collaboration with IGNCA, the programme witnessed both soul soothing Abhinaya of highest order and powerful pure dance with electrifying foot cum body movements. 

 

The dance recital at Samvet Auditorium of IGNCA commenced with traditional Invocatory item Ganga Taranga Kamaniyam in Mangalacharan . The next presentation Kalyan Pallavi, showcased the grace and grandeur of Odissi’s purity, precision and perfection. “Ritu Nayika”, performed by Vani Madhav depicted the lucidity and lavishness of changing seasons.The curtain closed in the Evening with the awesome artistic articulations of the Ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu by the performers during the staging of Dashavatar. Each recital of the hour long programme was greeted with thunderous applause by the audiences.The high point of the programme was that both Common dance lovers and discriminating art critics expressed much appreciation over the entire performance. 

 

Four prime disciples of Guru Vani Madhav Shriyadita Ghosh, Mamali Nayak, Sanjana Patnaik and Manasvi Mohan completely captivated the audiences with their elegant, emotive and ecstatic storytelling.The spectators felt elevated and overwhelmed by witnessing the supersonic show.The Mega event was a resounding success in exposing the essence, excellence and fragrance of Odissi and left a lasting impression on all attendees.

 

Having a professional career of forty years,Vani Madhav has been earning wide acclamation and loaded accolades for her prolific performances in numerous Nationally and Internationally reputed Dance Festivals across the Globe.

 

The August occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries like Vice-Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University, Prof. Srinivas Varakhedi and Member Secretary of IGNCA, Sachidanand Joshi.
