New Delhi: Ratna Kshetra, the abode of Lord Jagannath at Noida celebrated the birthday of Chairman of World Odisha Society Kishore Dwibedi with pomp, splendour and much fanfare. The celebration venue Sree Jagannath Temple at Sector-121 was aesthetically and elegantly decked up with colourful curtains and lights befitting to the grand occasion. Hosted by the Management Committee of the Temple Sri Jagannath Samiti (SJS) the auspicious ceremony was attended by office bearers of the Samiti, leaders of WOS, representatives of Odia Socio Cultural Institutions and leading lights of Odia Communities settled in National Capital region. While hundreds of Shri Dwibedi’s friends, followers and well wishers gathered at the Temple premises, numbers of Global Odias from different parts of the World joined the celebration through digital networking. The Ceremony became more special because of the commencement of Nabaratra. Unusual interest, unexpected enthusiasm and unprecedented excitement were witnessed among both the Organisers and participants because of the triple celebrations of Birthday, Hindu New Year and Nabaratra Festivities.
An eminent Journalist, Kishore Dwibedi is the Chairman of Journalists’ Development Council of India. Actively associated with several voluntary , Charity and Cultural Institutions in India and abroad, Shri Dwibedi is the Founder Chairman of Vande Utkal Foundation. Established in 2021 World Odisha Society has been growing in leaps and bonds under his towering stewardship during last four years having its membership increased to 72 countries now. Holding a Journalistic career of forty years, Shri Dwibedi is the current CMD cum Chief Editor of OMM Media Network.He has had the privilege of serving as a member of Press Advisory Committee of Lok Sabha for Five terms. At present Shri Dwibedi is also discharging the responsibilities of Chief Co – Ordinator of Odisha Without Border and National cum International Convenor of Viswa Odia Sammilani.
Addressing the gathering the Secretary of the SJS Dr Manoranjan Mohanty and Vice President Pramod Bhal informed that after the Pran Pratishtha Ceremony of the Deities on 2nd February this year, the Newly built Temple has been emerging as the prime centre of hosting religious rituals, cultural Festivals and Community Get – Togethers regularly with an aim to serve the growing religious and spiritual aspirations and obligations of devotees in NCR. Apart from serving Prasads to worshippers in Day and Night time, the Temple proposes to build up a Dharmashala in near future having 50 rooms with all modern amenities, They added.
Birthday of WOS’s women’s wing Vice – President Reeta Patra was also celebrated during the occasion. Entire arrangements of the Celebration were successfully conducted under the able supervision of office bearers of Temple Management Committee like Dhaneswar Nayak, Bharat Pradhan, Kishore Parida, Subrat Jena, Prashant Khilar, Nigam Mohanty, Dillip Swain, Abhiram Rout and Akhil Swain.
