80th Russia Victory Day marked by Russian Indian motorcycle rally

New Delhi: A Russian-Indian motorcycle rally was held on the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Jointly organized by the Russian Embassy in India, the Russian House in New Delhi and the Delhi Bikers Breakfast Run Social Club the race brought together more than 100 motorcycle enthusiasts — citizens of Russia, Belarus and India — and went along the route from the diplomatic mission through the central part of New Delhi to the Russian cultural center.

As part of the event, the documentary 'Eternal Heroes' by the RT Doc TV channel was screened. Before its start Embassy’s DCM and Minister Counsellor Roman Babushkin and Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India Elena Remizova addressed the participants of the motorcycle rally.

The programme also included a concert by the Russian and Indian musical bands 'Connaught' and 'Aryan Bir'.

A photo exhibition dedicated to the important contribution of Soviet motorcycles to the Victory over Nazi Germany was put up in the Russian House Foyer.
